FRP Tanks - Engineered Containment. Zero Compromise. Lifetime Performance.

JK Fibre Glass Works FRP Storage Tanks | GRP Industrial Tanks | Custom Fibreglass Tanks | Corrosion-Resistant Process Vessels | Chemical, Water & Petroleum Storage

A storage tank is not a passive component. It is an active risk management asset. When it contains sulphuric acid, it is the barrier between your process chemistry and your workforce. When it stores potable water for a hospital, it is the guarantee of supply quality for everyone who depends on that system. The material you specify — and the manufacturer you trust to build it — is not a procurement decision. It is an engineering commitment.

JK Fibre Glass Works manufactures FRP Tanks custom-engineered to your process specifi cation, fabricated with resin systems selected for your exact chemical environment, and built to deliver reliable, leak-proof containment for the full operational life of your facility.

Why FRP Is the Global Standard for Corrosive Liquid Storage

Steel corrodes in acids, alkalis, and chlorides — requiring continuous coating maintenance, periodic internal inspection, and eventual replacement, the cumulative cost of which consistently exceeds the premium of FRP construction. Concrete is porous; chemical media migrates through the matrix, attacking reinforcing steel, generating expansion products that crack and spall the structure from within. FRP is chemically inert to the media it is designed to contain. With resin selection matched to the stored chemical, concentration, and temperature, an FRP tank does not corrode, does not contaminate, does not require internal coating maintenance, and does not degrade on a schedule requiring capital budget provision for replacement. It stores. Safely. Reliably. Indefi nitely.

Tank Range

Vertical Cylindrical - the standard confi guration for acids, alkalis, process chemicals, wastewater, potable water, and petroleum products; it has fl at, dish, and conical bottom options. Horizontal - for space-constrained installations and process vessels requiring horizontal orientation, supplied with FRP or steel saddle supports. Conical Bottom - for slurry storage, sedimentation, and applications requiring complete drainage without manual intervention. Underground - engineered for direct burial with external reinforcement resisting soil pressure, anti-fl otation provisions, and external surface treatment; inherently superior to steel where inspection of buried external coatings is practically impossible. Open Top - for electroplating baths, chemical treatment lines, and process vessels requiring atmospheric access. Double Wall - integral secondary containment with interstitial monitoring for leak detection; eliminates the need for external bund structures in many regulatory applications. Elevated and Overhead - for gravity-fed supply and rooftop installations where FRP's light weight minimises dead load on supporting structure. Custom Process Vessels - complex multi-nozzle confi gurations, internal baffles, agitator provisions, heating and cooling coil supports, and any process-specifi c geometry your application demands.

Resin Systems

Isophthalic polyester for potable water, mild chemical, and general industrial storage. Vinyl ester for strong mineral acids, oxidising chemicals, bleaching compounds, chlorine media, and elevated-temperature chemical service. Epoxy for concentrated acids, aggressive solvents, food and pharmaceutical grade, and petroleum product storage. Epoxy novolac for the most extreme chemical service conditions at the absolute limit of fi breglass composite capability.

Custom Engineering

Every tank is specifi ed to your process data - diameter, height, capacity, and geometry to your installation envelope; nozzles positioned to your piping and instrumentation layout; structural supports engineered to tank weight, contents, seismic zone, and foundation parameters. Full technical documentation including material certifi cates, dimensional inspection records, hydrostatic test reports, and design calculations provided to your project quality plan. Third-party inspection available for critical service applications.
